Colonial Time Machine

The educational packet below contains five lesson plans designed for use before your visit to the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum. The lessons include worksheets, glossary, background information for teachers and a fictional account of daily life in the 1719 Herr House as seen through the eyes of 11-year-old Elizabeth, granddaughter of Hans Herr. Any portion of this packet may be reproduced for student use.

This packet supports the Academic Standards for History at the third grade level as published by the Pennsylvania Department of Education:
