Family History Heyday
Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society is excited to provide new content to amateur and experienced genealogists at the Family History Heyday all-virtual conference on Saturday, November 6, from 10:30 am to 2:15 pm.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Michael D. Lacopo will present, “The German Immigrant Experience in the 18th Century.” Dr. Lacopo is a recognized expert in research involving Mennonite and Pennsylvania German families. He is proficient in reading German script.
Nathan Pease, Director of Library Services at Lancaster History, will offer a session on the features of Lancaster History’s new archives, library, and image search engine.
Kristin Wenger, professional genealogist and educator at Legacy Tree Genealogists, will reveal tips on “Finding Our Female Ancestors: Research Strategies to Discover More about Women in Family History.”
