Music in the Orchard: Denison Witmer
Due to public health guidelines, we are developing a live stream concert series. More information will be available soon.
The second concert in the series, on June 22, featured the celebrated Lancaster based Denison Witmer. This Lancaster native catalogs the experiences of young adulthood in painfully honest detail with a soft and sensitive voice that perfectly matches his laid-back, 1970s California pop production and subtly expressive guitar work.
Lancaster based singer-songwriter Matt Wheeler will open the concert, with his characteristic heartfelt songs and light-hearted humor.
Food and beverages will be available, including Herr House smoked sausage. Attendees are also welcome to bring a picnic dinner to eat as they listen.
The 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum is an alcohol- and smoke-free environment.
Concerts are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, the concert will move into the implement shed on the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum grounds. In cases of severe weather, cancellations will be announced by 3 p.m. on the day of the concert.
